"For closing in on two decades now, guitarist/vocalist Danny Fischer and bassist/vocalist Suzanne Hogan have been ripping up clubs, basements, bars, squats, and gazebos across the planet with their own specialized species of unstoppable rock. I crossed paths with the Nature Boys on March 16, 2025 in Tokyo where I was lucky enough to witness the current lineup obliterate a small basement bar full of gentle souls in Machida City. With the addition of drummer Brad Highnam, the Nature Boys rhythm section had gelled and solidified perfectly to support the weight of the slashing guitars and sweet but savage vocals that define their sound, and they were better than ever...
They’ve toured countless corners of the world in home-baked vehicles that probably couldn’t pass any kind of safety inspection by anyone, anywhere. They’ve booked their own tours, and they’ve taken other bands on tour. They’ve managed to deal with obstacles on their own terms, relying on their own gumption and perseverance to realize their ambitions."
